CIRCLE K INTERNATIONAL

at STONY BROOK UNIVERSITY

Circle K International

Circle K International (CKI) is the premier collegiate and university community service, leadership development, and friendship organization in the world. With more than 13,500 members in 17 nations, CKI is making a positive impact on the world every day.

Circle K clubs are organized and sponsored by a Kiwanis club on a college or university campus. CKI is a self-governing organization and elects its own officers, conducts its own meetings, and determines its own service activities.

CKI blends community service and leadership training with the opportunity to meet other college students around the world. Projects such as the Six Cents Initiative, CKI’s International fundraiser that aims to provide water to the 2.2 billion children worldwide who lack safe drinking water, bring CKI members together to make a difference in the world

Our sponsoring Kiwanis club is Three Village-Brookhaven Township. They provide funds and many rides to volunteering events. Please like them on Facebook!

Stony Brook University CKI

Founded in 2008, we have grown into an extremely dedicated community service club in the Stony Brook community. We are one of the smaller clubs with a membership of 24 dues paid members, but we have as much heart and passion as any other club, possibly even more. We hold our own fundraisers, mainly bake sales, but we have tried new concepts such as folding paper stars and selling them in jars as well as selling hair bows. Meetings are held every Wednesday in Frey 217 from 8:00 PM - 9:00 PM. Everything is student run and student led and this gives everyone opportunities to develop leadership skills.

We also have committees, in which you can apply for.

Stony Brook Circle K is about service, leadership, and fellowship. We are eager to meet more people and to welcome them to our K family.
